Location Beechmore Village, Crewe, Cheshire

Scope 132 bed, 4 Storey Timber Frame Care Home

Project Features This project was a 132 bed complex, as part of 432 new state of the art apartments within five extra care villages for the elderly. Built concurrently throughout Cheshire and having a combined main contract value of £65 million.

Prestoplan's input at design stage and close working relationship with the contractor coupled with speed of build delivered by timber frame construction ensured that the project was delivered on time and within budget.

Being, at the start of the project, the largest timber frame structure of it's type in Europe, utilising 1,700 cubic metres of timber, sustainability and structural efficiency were major factors in choosing Prestoplan to deliver the contract. Prestoplan are Chain of Custody (PEFC) registered which ensures materials used are from sustainable and managed sources. Our internal design and engineering department is one of the largest in the industry all of which were seen as benefits that Prestoplan could offer.
