Project Features The Eco Residence presents sustainable solutions for both construction and ongoing maintenance of the estate and has been awarded a BREEAM rating of Excellence.
This development design was a bespoke solution for student residential accommodation with Lancaster University. The emphasis of construction for the Eco Residence was on sustainable resources and processes. Timber frame technology allowed each wall, frame and floor cassette to be manufactured off-site, reducing on-site waste, and only timber from "Chain of Custody" accredited sources was used. High insulation standards and a high degree of air tightness created a very energy-efficient envelope.
